The Minnowboard A2 rev has a hardware issue with missing level shifters so the HDMI output is not compliant, which is a problem for some monitors. I had big problems with this which I could only resolve using an external level shifter.

My understanding is that this level shifter is present in the Turbot design.

I have a MinnowBoardMax and a Turbot side-by-side on my desk. I've
generated an image for them using the latest (master) OE BSP. Everything
works perfect on the Turbot (yea!!). The same image in my minnow does
not bring up the HDMI.
Sorry for not researching this 100% before posting, but if there's some
resource or trick I'm missing I'd appreciate a link/pointer to the info.
