<html><head></head><body><div style="font-family: Verdana;font-size: 12.0px;"><div>Hi,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I can tell you what I had to do to make my MinnowboardMax boot the OS again after I upgraded the firmware:</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Select:</div>
<div><span style="line-height: 1.6em;">- "Boot Maintenance Manager"</span></div>
<div>- "Boot Options"</div>
<div>- "Add Boot Option"</div>
<div>select the MicroSD with the EFI boot image (in my case PciRoot (0x0)/Pci.../HD(1,GPT,...))</div>
<div>- go through the folder structure to find the EFI Image </div>
<div><span style="line-height: 1.6em;"> (in my case) <EFI> -> <debian> -> grubx64.efi</span></div>
<div>- Add a description (in my case "Debian")</div>
<div><span style="line-height: 1.6em;">Leave the Boot Maintenance Manager</span></div>
<div> </div>
<div>Next select</div>
<div>- "Boot Manager"</div>
<div>- change the order of the boot options and move "YourCustomBootOption" (in my case "Debian") to the top</div>
<div><span style="line-height: 1.6em;">Exit - now the MinnowMax should boot into your distribution</span></div>
<div> </div>
<div>Again, I only had to do this after I upgraded the firmware. The original Debian (Jessie) installation had done this by itself.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>It should be possible to do this from the EFI command line, or even from userspace (your Linux OS) using "efibootmgr", but you will have to find out the exact command options yourself.</div>
<div> </div>
<div><span style="line-height: 1.6em;">Soeren</span></div>
<div> </div>
<div>
<div>
<div name="quote" style="margin:10px 5px 5px 10px; padding: 10px 0 10px 10px; border-left:2px solid #C3D9E5; word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;">

<b>Betreff:</b> [MinnowBoard] Boot into OpenElec</div>
<div name="quoted-content">
<div>
<div>Hello</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I've just installed lates OpenELEC 5.08_x64 on the Minnowboard Max to use it as a replacement for a faulty CuBox-i2.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Install just went fine, but when going into "Boot Maintenance Manager" and set the "Boot Next Value" as "EFI Misc Device" and commit the changes, after repowering it still boots into UEFI Shell....</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Anyway I can set the boot command it should use?</div>
<div> </div>
<div>cheers</div>
<div>Richard</div>
