<html><head></head><body><div style="font-family: Verdana;font-size: 12.0px;"><div>Looking at you picture I would guess that C1 (the tantalum capacitor) is the problem, as with the board before. Do you remember if the mark on it (a small brown line on top at one side) was facing the diode or the right edge of the board? If it was towards the diode D1, that would explain why C1 blew up (it marks the negative side of the capacitor). </div>

<div>My Flotsam arrived earlier. I plugged it in with no mSATA card inserted and the MinnowboardMax failed to start. The blue power led just blinked. I then removed power, inserted a mSATA SSD and replugged the power, and it blew like the one mentioned a few days ago. Luckily I heeded Dave’s warning and had it at arms length. The Minnowboard seems to be unharmed. It continues to run fine. I hope I can say the same of the mSATA SSD when I next get a chance to use it.
