[MinnowBoard] Problem with boot firmware for MinnowMax version 0.90

From serial, firmware has problem to recognize your flash part. So I got one more question.
Could you reprogram your firmware to older version, say 0.81 which was working according to your report, to see if it still works? If any version doesn’t work anymore, you properly have a broken SPI chip.

Best Regards

To add to the questions:

What board revision do you have?
How did you perform the firmware update?

I have a couple of others:

Are you running 32 bit or 64 bit images?
I assume that your images are al Debug rather than release (since you have a debug log), but could you confirm?

The fact that earlier images versions do not show the problem, is another point of interest. This is where the question of board version comes up. From my experience on the MinnowBoard MAX program, even the earliest (prototypical) versions of the hardware are still able to boot with the latest firmware images. However, we cannot rule out this possibility, and information on the version of MinnowBoard (Max or Turbot) and the hardware revision could prove useful.

As a side bar question: Have you tried the 0.82 and 0.83 firmware versions? If the problem can be determined to happen between two distinct firmware versions, the release notes may provide some other insight into what has changed in the firmware between the two versions, which could account for the behavior.

Thank you,

Michael Krau
