In the normal case, not long minute or two.
Full erase:

Found Micron/Numonyx/ST flash chip "N25Q064..1E" (8192 kB, SPI)
on ft2232_spi.
Erasing and writing flash chip... Erase/write done.

Your mileage is going to vary, and this is a lot slower than some other
hardware, but on the flip side this is one of the cheapest SPI
programmers I know of, as well as also being an FTDI serial cable.
