Thanks, I'll consider each of these options. I think I have a good path forward to resolve this. Can I use Flashrom with the SPI hook to flash the image?
I really do appreciate the help.

FTDI serial port is your first line of attack on solving this, the
sledge hammer is what Bill suggested and snag a spi hook and just
re-flash the whole board. J7 is changing in later revisions to allow
