[MinnowBoard] no suitable video mode found booting in blind mode

I experienced the same error, but I can't remember exactly how I
resolved it.  I did swap out my HDMI cable + microHDMI adapter for a
HDMI cable with a microHDMI end, eliminating the adapter, but I doubt
that's the issue.

One possibility is editing the Grub boot entry and adding "nomodeset"
to the kernel line without the quotes.  I haven't verified this
though.
