Keeping in mind that Fedora 18 is quite old at this point, and the
kernel it has is likely old enough to not have much of the support for
the SoC or things on the board. What you are seeing may be more an
indication that the kernel is too old to deal with the newer hardware
than anything else.
I'd generally recommend Fedora 20 or 21 right now if you are going to
use Fedora as your distro.
