Melvyn,
The adapter Zorn linked can be used to convert a mSATA slot into a standard SATA connector (I use one myself for testing). Using this with a standard off the shelf SATA cable allows you to use a standard SATA drive such as that NB wants to use.
It is a long way around, but it does enable you to use 2 SATA devices with the minnowboard max, one via the onboard connector and one via the silverjaw…

YES I KNOW…. !!!!!!
What he is trying to do is connect a SATA device, so the link provided by “Soeron Zorn” is of use to “NB”

NB is trying to use the Silverjaw Lure which does have a mSATA socket:

Hi.. Soeren Zorn
Sorry but you need to pay more attention to the connector gender
That device turns a mSATA device in to a SATA device.
It has a female socket for the mSATA and a male plug for the SATA cables..
Hi nb…
I have yet to find what you need a “SATA to mSATA adapter”.
Your “KINGSTON SSDNOW 300 120GB” is a plug and play replacement for a SATA drive.

Hi,
that won't work: not only to the connectors differ, the PCBs have completely different sizes and setup.
You could try to get a SATA -> mSATA converter like this one:

Betreff: [MinnowBoard] Can I extract a mSATA disk from 2.5" box ?
Hi all,
I’ve received today may Silverjaw mSATA + mPCIe.
I’ve connected it to the MinnowBoard Max.
Now I want to connect my SSD. It’s a KINGSTON SSDNOW 300 120GB.
Is there a way to open it for getting out a mSATA board, or do I have to buy a new disk ?
Thanks in advance
Regards
nb
