We recently completed a production release of our legacy BIOS for Bay Trail quad core (E3845). The BIOS initializes all hardware and will run any operating system 16-bit to 64 bit. I did a benchmark tests using MSDOS 5.0 booted from eMMC. The boot time is measured at the point where the MBR has been read and control is handed over to the MBR code. The results has been measured with the time stamp counter.

Cold boot with training and programming flash sectors…: 1.621 seconds
Cold boot without training………………………………......: 0.989 seconds
Boot without power cycling (using reset button)……….…: 0.945 seconds
Warm boot using CTR + ALT + DEL…………………….…: 0.468 seconds

We are currently adopting our BIOS to Minnowboard Max. We have good connections in Asia, so it’s possible to specify our own board and get them manufactured. I will look into it.

I've used Screaming Circuits (http://www.screamingcircuits.com/ <http://www.screamingcircuits.com/>) at work a few times for small runs. I don't recall how much the assembly runs were, but the board costs were inexpensive for certain.

I do know however, that several people have ordered and payed for products and never got them. That even includes Minnowboard Max! People have been trying to contact them with no luck, so you should probably avoid them all together.
