HI :)
I'm an undergraduate Computer Science student from India, hoping to do a
summer project with MinnowBoard this time. I loved some of the project
ideas from the GSoC page and feel that I can contribute . I just wanted to
say HI and give a brief intro about myself.
Personally I've never used a MinnowBoard Max but I have plenty of
experience on other hardware and fulfill the requirements the project page
specifies. I previously have worked on arduino modules and currently am
working on incubating a startup (aiming high :) ) which basically tries to
use an AT89S51 micro controller an R305 fingerprint module and other
technologies to create an independent low cost, low power consuming, tamper
resistant system to validate the school attendance in rural and
inaccessible parts of India.
Previously , I have also worked on Intel x86s and am familiar with it. We,
as a project, had previously made a 4 Bit CPU with a basic 12 instruction
set design based on the x86 instruction set.
Though I haven't used a MinnowBoard Max yet , I feel like I'll be able to
gain its specific knowledge quickly and be able to contribute to the
project.
My name is Don Dennis by the way :) . I'm currently in my 4th semester
studying at the Indian Institute of Technology (IITp) here. Please guide me
to anything I might have missed because of joining this community late, if
its not too much of a trouble.
I'm really glad that there are projects related to hardware in GSoC 15 .
Hope I can contribute my bit to this community :)
Warm Regards,
Don Dennis
