I did in fact read that & patched OpenSSL and THOUGHT I had correctly downloaded all the binaries. Guess somehow they landed up in the wrong place. Will check this out tomorrow - now I know where to look!

You should also read http://firmware.intel.com/sites/default/files/MinnowBoard_MAX_Rev.077-ReleaseNotes.txt for build instructions (e.g. Patching OpenSSL).
