You are not really missing anything. there are extra drivers spliced in
to the angstrom to recognize peripherals you may not have. They probably
started with a working version and modified it rather than a ground up
build, so there is libale to be extra stuff in here that does not
pertain to this board.
For instance the ext3-fs is another file system, maybe for an additional
SD card interface on the expansion port that doesn't actually exist.
Another one is the CAN interface, which is not connected to anything.
You can ignore these for now, it should blow past these and boot up if
you have a valid keyboard/mouse and display attached. If you just have a
terminal you should come up to a prompt.
I noticed on my board there is some flakiness with the power on
sequence. The 5V barrel connector does not always make good contact with
the supplied adapter and sometimes the board is so fast it missed the
microSD card connection and assumes there is nothing to boot from. If
you get this, trying hitting the reset button or breaking power again.
I have had this working, runs pretty well drivers fairly good out of the
box. I have it running an hdmi monitor. Note that the default display
settings may make it look like crap, so you may have to manually adjust
these if the gui is not ledgable.
i have been able to download other angstrom programs and run them, tried
a web cam. VLC won't see it, but cheesbox does...go figure...
hope this helps
Ken
