Hello mailing list. I recently received my minnow board but I have not been
able to use it much without it locking up / resetting. I am using the stock
kernel (3.8.13-yocto-standard) and image that comes with the minnow board.
One sure way to make it lockup is running "opkg upgrade", it will freeze
after 5-30 minutes. This is the message that prints out on the screen:
INFO: rcu_preempt self-detected stall on CPU
I can still see input I type show up on the screen, but I am unable to
interrupt the running command with CTRL+C/CTRL+\/CTCL+Z
The first thing I tried to address this issue was updating my firmware
(from 0.84 to 1.00), but this didn't seem to help. I have also searched
google for general minnowboard freezes/lockups and the specific error
message, but I turned up nothing. Is it possible I just have a bad board?
Thank you,
Carroll
