</div></div>I don't know, mainly because I can see both approaches as being useful<br>
to people.  In it's simplest form just re-working the shell script may<br>
be enough, and obviously offers us a lot more flexibility than<br>
Makefiles.  On the flip side Makefiles mean just typing `make` and<br>
having something build.  I'm happy to entertain both approaches, and if<br>
a student is feeling particularly adventurous it's possible to do both<br>
with a little bit of planning.<br>
