I was thinking it would be an easy add to the SPI lure. Then you would have a blueprint that would save makers the cost of developing such an option. With LVDS you then have a board with all the printouts that could go direct to market… really without the maker having much, if any hardware experience.<div><br></div><div>I think the importance of LVDS really boils down to being able to assure backers (traditional or through new channels) that you literally have everything you need to go to production in your BOM already, and that the developmental expenses will be in refinement, marketing, and software mostly.<br><div><br><div apple-content-edited="true">

I think the main thing there from makers I’ve talked to in
fielding Console OS with them is the challenge in taking a design
to production. They need LVDS because those Pi-targeting displays
are not ideal when going into mass production.

<div>It’s a last-mile challenge, granted, but mini-HDMI alone
isn’t enough to port MAX board designs to manufacturing.</div>

solutions that you can move over to… but not with ownership of

yes that is correct, but MinnowMax does not directly support LVDS.
there is some discussion of offering a variation with LVDS, but that
is a ways off if it happens.<br>

we are getting a number of requests for a HDMI based

My vote is for the MiniDisplay lure… preferably with
the ability to swap out the display and add on your
own LVDS touch interface on the fly.<br>
