[MinnowBoard] New Board not Video Output

It also happened to me. I had a combined 5V and 12 V poor supply that I connected to a experiment board. From that board I fed Minnowboard Max with 5V and a mini HDMI monitor with 12V. However, the yellow cable from the power supply was 5V and the red 12V, so they got the wrong voltage and my Minnowboard Max was smoked.

As the power supply had a black, red and yellow cable I took for granted that they were following the standard. It was an expensive lesson to always measure first before connecting.

Best regards,

B-O Bergman

Originally I got a power supply, but somehow confused myself and bought the wrong one, so I've been supplementing a 5V 1A power adapter that I had laying around until I get the correct power adapter that supplies enough Amperage.
