Luca,

Well that clearly sounds like something else is not right here..3A 
should be enough.

Let's get back to basics..

Step 1:
Connect->bare board, power supply, monitor, keyboard and mouse. NO boot 
device or USB keys.
DO NOT CONNECT THE NETWORK HERE...

Does this come up in the bios or boot shell?? Yes or NO...

Does it clearly see your mouse and keyboard & monitor..this is fairly 
critical?

Step 2:
if this comes up, remove power, add a boot device(SD card 
prefered)...what happens?
Does this work. Yes or No?

Step 3: Remove SD card if it worked, try USB boot device.
Does this work. Yes or NO.

You have to take this step by step and see where it's going off the 
rails, you have too many variables now..
